Mentally challenged girl raped in Munshiganj

A mentally challenged girl has allegedly been raped in Munshiganj Sadar upazila. On Thursday, Alim Khan, 40, son of Hamid Khan, took the mentally challenged girl, 22, to his house from her Kandapara village under Tongibari upazila alluring her by giving a piece of cake to eat. He then raped her the whole night, police said.

Bishnu statue found in Kazi Kasba

A touch stone statue of Lord Bishnu, weighing about four maunds, was seized by police from Dakhin Kazi Kasba village under Munshiganj Sadar Upazila on Thursday. The statue was found when a group of workers were cutting earth at an arable land of one Kazi Nur Jamal of Dakhin Kazi Kasba village.
