Police arrested a ring leader of inter-district wire thieves racket from Kolapara in Srinagar upazila on Tuesday.
Srinagar thana OC Mahbubur Rahman said the law enforcers arrested Golam Mawla Kayes, 40, from his house at about 1:30pm.
Kayes was accused in three general diaries lodged with Srinagar police station.
Recently, 13 gang members were arrested alongwith Tk 60 crore pilfered wires from Gazipur district. Later, a case was filed against Kayes and the arrested people with Joydevpur thana.
