Elections to 131 Union Parishads in 17 districts began Tuesday under the second phase of the staggering polling. The polls began at about 8:00am, which will continue till 4:00pm without any break.
The polls will be held in 11 Union Parishads in Kishoreganj, 11 in Kustia, 1 in Gazipur, 5 in Gopalganj, 6 in Chandpur, 12 in Tangail, 6 in Dhaka, 7 in Dinajpur, 3 in Narsingdi, 6 in Netrakona, 9 in Pabna, 5 in Bhola, 10 in Munshiganj, 10 in Mymenshingh, 12 in Sherpur, 9 in Sirajganj and 8 in Sylhet.
According to the Election Commission Secretariat, the under the second phase of the UP elections, the polling would take place up to July 5 in different unions across the country.
