মুন্সীগঞ্জ সদর উপজেলার চরাঞ্চলের আধারা এলাকায় বালু কাটায় ক্ষুব্ধ হয়ে গ্রামবাসী হামলা চালিয়ে চারটি ড্রেজার ভাঙচুর করেছে। এ ঘটনায় সাত জন ড্রেজার শ্রমিক আহত হয়েছে। মঙ্গলবার সন্ধ্যা ৭ টায় ইউনিয়নের বকচর গ্রামেরে মেঘনা নদীর পাড় ঘেষে বালু উত্তোলনকালে গ্রামবাসীর হামলা চালায়।
